Okamoto Industries, Inc. (Head Office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Kunihiko Okamoto) has begun shipments and launched sales in the Japanese market of “OKAMOTO THE GOLD”, the first natural rubber latex condom in the company’s history to achieve a uniform ultra-thin thickness in the 0.02 mm range. Shipments commenced on September 14.
“OKAMOTO THE GOLD” is currently available only in Japan.
“OKAMOTO THE GOLD” is a new product developed to provide a natural, barely noticeable wearing experience.
Until now, a uniform thickness in the 0.03 mm range had been considered the technological limit for natural rubber latex condoms. Through a technological breakthrough, Okamoto has now achieved a consistently uniform thickness in the 0.02 mm range, the first such achievement for a natural rubber latex condom.
In addition, while maintaining the distinctive softness of natural rubber latex, the product offers enhanced flexibility for an even more natural fit. Furthermore, the lubricant contains a hyaluronic acid-infused gel, applied at approximately seven times the volume used in Okamoto’s conventional product, Zero Zero Three Standard.
Combining three key features, “softness, thinness, and enhanced lubrication,” OKAMOTO THE GOLD delivers an unprecedentedly natural wearing experience and represents a condom designed to minimize awareness during use.
