Action plan for promoting the active participation of women
Our company mission is to create products that help people live healthy, comfortable lives. Based on this mission and our slogan (“Science Delivers Better Living”), we developed action plans like the one outlined below to create employment and working environments that enable ambitious female employees to flourish.

Supporting the active participation of women
As an action plan for promoting the active participation of women by 2026, we aim to increase the percentage of female employees to 30% or more and the paid leave acquisition rate to 60% or more. We will continue to create an environment where everyone who works at our company can work comfortably and continue to work.
Okamoto Life+ (plus) Project
The Okamoto Group engages in an activity named “More than good! Okamoto Life+ (plus) Project,” which is to plan and propose products that make our lives richer, more fun, and more comfortable from users’ viewpoints.
In December 2012, we launched the “More than good! Women’s Perspective Project,” with female employees selected from such various departments as the headquarters and the plants, positioned as an internal marketing, as we have had a lot of products purchased by female customers. Since December 1, 2022, it has been renamed as the “More than good! Okamoto Life+ (plus) Project,” which is divided in such two groups as the “Life Perspective Group” making daily necessities and life-related necessities into convenient and easy-to-use daily essentials and the “Fem-Care Group” developing medical-related products to care for women’s body and health, and each group gathers twice a month to share concerns specific to women or opinions to improve current products and to give a support to the product development.
